Never purchase a car from this dealership. They lack integrity and flat out lied to me. I recently purchased a low mileage used Range Rover Sport from them. During the process I specifically asked about the mechanical condition of the vehicle (among the items I asked about were the brakes, etc. condition). I was told they that they were fine and passed their so called "inspection". Well, 2 mos and 2000 miles of driving the car after purchasing, it developed loud squeaking noises when braking. Took it to a Land Rover dealer in Orange County near my home and sure ... Read More DealerRater - Apr 19, 2024

DON’T BUY RANGE ROVER from JAGUAR LAND ROVER LA BREA! The salesman Gary and manager Jose tried to squeeze every penny out of me that they could - and then some. I had a signed deal when I ordered my car, and they totally reneged on it. Then tried to blame it on the banks. By the time they offered me the best deal they could - I would have paid for the car in full that I WAS LEASING by the end of the lease. Really sleazy business dealings. I have bought cars from two other Range Rover ... Read More DealerRater - Dec 30, 2022

This place ripped me off for almost $2000 in unnecessary and ineffective repairs on my 2001 XK8 engine light issue. A STAR station in Burbank fixed it for $200. Do not go to Jaguar LA on Labrea

10k+over on a vehicle + 6.1% interest rate on top tier credit.. ok. sure buddy.

This dealership is a prime example of why the automobile industry has such a bad reputation. They have the worst customer service on top of being fraudulent liars. I worked with Jesse Gutierrez in the service and parts department because my car needed it’s regular maintenance. He ended up doing repairs to my car that were not needed and without my consent. He lied on the paperwork and tried to scam me at every angle. After speaking with some people that I knew in the auto industry I learned that he had been fired for doing the exact same ... Luke in Finance is a liar and a cheat. He promised me I could purchase my Platinum Package Service without including it in my vehicle financing. When I went to research my Platinum package or a repair, I realized that he had swindled me!! Even though I gave him the payment amount he quoted to exclude the Platinum package from the financing, He actually put the Platinum package into the financing and applied what he promised was the separate payment for the package into my down payment WITHOUT my permission...EXTREMELY DISHONEST!! In addition, when I called him out on ... Read More DealerRater - Sep 1, 2021

I took my Range Rover to Land Rover Los Angeles located at 400 S La Brea Ave in Los Angeles for service. I have a 2020 Range Rover and it is still under warranty. I took my car in for service for several issues such as an oil leak, faulty codes, driver door opening while driving etc. I received a text message from my service advisor, Mario Garcia, stating that I have to pay around $250 for them to reset fault codes and the system. This is covered under warranty yet they are trying to scam me into paying for the service. I ... Read More DealerRater - Aug 31, 2021

Sold me a Lemon F-Type R repackaged as a CPO. Salesman was fired the very next day. Now I'm stuck with a car that has been in the shop for 100 days and an unresponsive dealership and manufacturer. They have recently changed their name due to poor reviews but have the same exact ownership. Do not buy from JLR, these are thieves

Always great service. And excellent pricing I believe. The entire deal was done remotely. Car was dropped off sanitized and I never had to leave my home.

I purchased a CPO Range Rover Sport on 4/14/17 from Hornburg. Less than a week of having the vehicle I experienced issues with the vehicle along with certain issues that were against the CPO (certified pre owned) rules. This not only makes me think that the dealership is properly trained to certify vehicles but how they even handle vehicles in service and if they service them properly or not. After many attempts with the dealership staff/management I got no response I wrote an email to their marketing group which I found online. I wanted to give them a opportunity to ... For some reason the service arm (Olympic and Centinela) was severely understaffed for the last three weeks. My car was there for 11 days and I could not get anyone to call me or update me. I tried the supervisor Rebecca, but she did not return my calls either. Finally Vanessa Jimenez stepped in and got everything done within a day or two, and was in constant contact with me during that time. I think people are on vacation perhaps (there was NO ONE in the four offices when I went in person to get help after calling five times) but ... Read More DealerRater - Jul 11, 2017

This dealership is horrible. They lie & cheat. They do not return calls. I have been calling for over a month and none of the managers are ever available to talk to me nor do they EVER call me back. The 2 sales managers Hamid Ali & Mark Sopp will not return calls or help. The business manager MaryAnne Saloka also refuses to help & hung up on me. The general manager Martin Dodsworth who is on their website saying how helpful their staff is lies because he nor his staff are ever available nor will they call you back. I'... The Hornburg LA Service Center sent me to CBS Auto Body for cosmetic work on my Jaguar XK8. CBS is the officially recommended body shop of Hornburg Jaguar Land Rover Los Angeles.
Since the date of my original complaint about auto body and mechanical work, CBS Auto Body Shop has approached me and resolved my complaint issues amicably and to my satisfaction. CBS even covered a portion of my repair and car rental expenses.
The manager I dealt with was courteous, and refrained from arguing over what was a confusing and agonizing experience for me as a consumer.
My car ... Read More DealerRater - Aug 21, 2011

I had poor service and experiences previously but since then I feel the dealer, Richard in particular has made strides in improving customer relations and service levels. Yes, dealer prices are outrageous, with that situation, there is no improvement!

They will exhaust you with their failure. Took my range rover supercharged there for routine service, its has 8400 miles on it ,said i needed new brake pads $900. got it back with the paint destroyed, washed it with a dirty rag, they didn't fight about about the cause,it was obvious what had happened. They buffed it once, i refused it ,still all scratched,(this was not one or two small scratches) this was 6-8 in wide swipes of hundreds of it again and returned it to my house. I knew when it happened the vehicle would never be the ... Read More DealerRater - Feb 18, 2010

Verbally they promised to deliver the car and title after receiving payment in full. They requested notarized papers from me before releasing the car even though they were paid upfront. The papers contained numerous invalid fees and other inaccurate data. It was a stall tactic and deceptive bad faith practices on their part. They were slow to release the car and could not deliver the title. The car was finally released but without a title. The car was returned since the title was never received and they continued to stall on the refund. It took many phone calls before they ... Read More DealerRater - Jul 18, 2009

If there are any issues with this dealership, I suggest dealing with Sue the General Manager. I had a horrible experience with Gary a service advisor and an average experience with Rebecca the manager. It took some time for Sue the General Manager to get back to me but her level of customer service was great after finally speaking to her. She is doing her best to address my concerns and resolve my issues with the service department. I will post additional comments and let you know of the resolution.

Not only are they incompetent but they appear to be running a consumer fraud by saying they will pay for a rental car and then refusing to pay for it even though the work order says they will pay. I took my car in 3 times to fix the same problem. They charged more each time and kept the car 3 days instead of the one they promised.

I have owned 8 Jaguars over the past 30 years and, thanks to Hornburg Jaguar and Gary Orlando, I will not buy another.
The Hornburg Service department is dihonest at best. They overcharge for non-warrantee work and they actually break stuff that they then try to charge you to fix.
Blue-tooth installation - initial charge $1000. Didn't work. $2000 later, and six separate service visits later, the blue tooth does not work.
In the process they broke the emergency brake and the center console which they refused to fix. Repairs at another dealer for these two items were $3000.
Gary Orlando is an oily ... Read More DealerRater - Dec 24, 2008

simply poor customer service, simply poor work. fight for warranty work, don't fight for paid work! very high prices, higher than other local Jag/Rover dealers. have to come back too many times, too inconvenient. customer is always wrong. dealer owned by foreign, off-shore (UK) and they don't care about customers, just get your $$$ and go away. guess what, there are alternatives, better cars, even GM and Ford! better dealers, local ownership makes a difference, deal all-American from now on.

I took my car in for service, and their service department actually made it WORSE! Then they tried to charge me for it. Hornburg Jaguar SUCKS! Their service people are rude and arrogant, from the top to the bottom. Save yourself the headache and GO SOMEPLACE ELSE! Their prices are high, their quality is LOW LOW LOW. Hornburg Jaguar SUCKS! Hornburg Jaguar SUCKS! Hornburg Jaguar SUCKS! I had to take me car back 5 times and they NEVER GOT IT RIGHT! They didn't fix simple things and left nuts and bolts loose in the engine compartment. They are the worst ... Read More DealerRater - Jun 27, 2008

Bought a used Porsche at "Hornburg Jaguar of Santa Monica". Several parts were missing and dealership promised to order the missing items on the same day. After complaining several times and being given the runaround for more than 4 weeks I finally received the items although separate Porsche dealers confirmed it would not take more than 5 days to obtain the missing parts. Especially the Internet sales manager Duane McCracken was very impolite and unprofessional in this whole matter telling me "he had better things to do than worrying about parts for a Porsche he sold weeks ago." ... I found the service at Hornburg Jaguar absolutely incompetent and very over priced. They quoted me $2500 for work that I had done elsewhere for half the price. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. There are plenty of other great Jaguar garages in Los Angeles.

Awful service - beyond belief considering the shocking hourly rates and the niche market they are serving. Took my XJR in to have a few things fixed and ended up waiting four days for someone to deal with the car!! They are way under-staffed and slow to respond. They also tried to charge me for a part that they admitted not installing (windshield wiper controller of some sort)... $400 part. They also failed to cure wheel problem twice - they obviously do not take the cars out to detect problems I point out to them. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS, they ... Read More DealerRater - Sep 22, 2006

i took my LR3 into Hornburg to have it serviced and to have a sluggish problem fixed. the vehicle sat in the shop as they awaited software for the update for over a month. Mike, the service manager called me often and gave me the update to when the software would be avaiable. He had no definitive answers, as they were waiting day by day, but i appreciated being informed. They finally received the software and called to let me know my car was available. i returned the call which was rudely answered by a british girl (who put me ... Read More DealerRater - Sep 12, 2006
